Hi , i am on the hunt for a 64gb USB 3.0 flash drive , i am not really prepared to pay £40.00 plus for a 64gb sandisk extreme USB3.0 , neither do i really want a 32gb sandisk extreme for around £20.00

I am looking for a balance of speed and size ,i have had a good look around and i have found one that seems to fit my spec

I found one from a different suppliers website delivered for 19.99, so i shall not post a link , as i think that is a tad unfair on overclockers but the specs are:-

Write speed up to 35MB/s and read speed up to 80MB/s. Backward compatible with USB 2.0 , of course i would like a faster one ! but then the prices seem to start going up.

But i guess there will be a better one out there , can anyone recommend a fair speed , fair value USB 3.0 stick ?

I am happy to move my budget up a tad more , but 19.99 is about my limit really .
TIA :)

You either need to spend more or expect slower speeds. For £20, I would expect a 64 GB USB flash drive to be flimsy and would be hesitant to trust it.

In the end i went for one of these at 17.99 delivered....good speeds for the price , but it is made of plastic , but it is more for just leaving in my laptop and moving data around, so it will not see a hard life .

64GB in purple (up to 100MB/s read, 55MB/s write)

sadly no choice on the colour options , 64gb is purple !!

i guess in another 6 months time , the really fast usb 3.0 drives , will be closer to 19.99 , so i guess if need , i should buy one then

True , i have read a fair few people moaning about the quality of the USB stick , been made of plastic has not gainned it a wonderful rep , but with a 3 year warranty it should do the trick in the short term , until the expensive 64gb USB 3.0 become the norm in say 6 months time and cost half the price !
