hmm, im not really gonna agree with it after the experience ive had this morning :(

LFS isn't the best starter game really, as it's kind of everybody is at the same level bar maybe throttle blips on change / clutch etc.

Best bet is either GTR or GT Legends, as they both have quite scalable controls, meaning you can play with lots of driver aids to make it a little more arcadey, then you can gradually build your skill by taking aids off and seeing what they do etc, so you can understand why you're spinning all the time etc.

i just wish i could get the settings in lfs setup right and to stop zig zaging down the road, the settings are far too twitchy at stock and i can for the life of me work out how to adjust the wheel to make it less sensitive :(

i had a go on gtlegends last night but i didnt give it log enough to cast a proper judgement yet

To make the wheel less sensative on LFS, goto controls, then under wheel/js tab, second slider called wheel turn compensation, slide it to the right, as an example for my wheel i set it to 0.70

How do LFS and Richard Burns Rally play using a controller? (specifically the Xbox 360 controller)
Never got into LFS, but have played the demo of RBR and its pretty good with the Xbox360 controller

that didnt sort it mate, its still very twitchy when trying to go in a stright line :(

Strange, lfs is one of the better games in terms of using wheels etc, it sounds more like its a problem with your wheel calibration maybe, what wheel do you have?

I found Colin McRea 2 pretty easy to get into straight off but when you're ready to you can get into tuning the car for better performance for the track type / driving conditions. #2's been out on budget for a good while so you could most likely pick up a later incarnation (same gameplay, nicer graphics) for £4.99 and give it a go.
