Looking for new build spec

I see where you are coming from (IPS does look better than TN, some TN do look better than other TN).

A solution is the Acer Predator 1440P Gsync IPS but its £100 more than the swift.
 
I have seen them, but there must be some happy people.

People have moaned about the swift and a flashing backlight when the frame gets really low.

I have one of those 21:9 AOC superwide screen IPS panels and its fine, but theres a 3-4 page thread in the monitor section of people that are not happy and people that are.

Yeah I saw that Acer picture looked fine to me too.

But then again Acer have a 16 dead pixel policy which is shockingly high for the amount of money for the monitor.

I trust Ocuk Customer Service thats why I am wanting to get all I can from them including the monitor.
 
Stulid im thinking of dropping the sound card and just plug the Razer Tiamat 7.1 straight into the back of the mobo but I can not find a single X99 with full audio ports at the back and I dont want to use a front one. Unless I have missed something I may have to go Z97 and ATX size mobo what do you think m8??
 
The idea of going for the Tiamat was decent sound plus control box I can switch from speakers to headphones in 1 button press.

What about the MSI Z97M mobo that has 6 ports at the back?

You really want to drop to Z97? stick with a sound card and stick to the best on the market (X99).
 
Oh yes, the monitor, well as previously pointed out you can return the Acer if you are not happy, but i also saw the other day you told someone you did not want the hassle of sending stuff back till a decent one comes along.

I personally would take the chance on it.
