looking for new GFX card under £200

no i didn't mention power noise etc but i wasn't talking about any specific card either. Those attributes are to me all important though. Thanks for all the bookmarks. Ill go away and have a read and see if i can come to any conclusions.

If they are important to you then you say so before hand & not after & in this case it does not matter as its for the OP.

yes, sorry Minty i wasn't trying to hijack your thread, i just thought my question was relevant to your original post. I jumped into this thread rather than post an identical thread on the forums.

4890 is the one to go for currently. However, new ATI cards are just over the horizon. You might not need the latest Generation of cards, but the release will certainly lower the prices for 4 series ATI cards. If you can't wait, 4890. If you want te' see what happens watch this space!

This.

Its a great card, you certainly get a lot of bang for your buck.

I never had one problem with my HD 4850 and drivers, playing all the top games from the last few years. I believe all these, frankly lies of hearsay, come from the fact that Nvidia may update drivers more frequently?
I love my current XFX GTX 285 Black Edition so I am nothing of a fanboy, just want the best value for money.

GTX285 and value for money don't belong in the same sentence, except for this one. :D
