Yeah but after a few minutes of driving they will look like normal discs anyway, just a protective finish to stop them rusting in packaging. On the plus side, where the pads don't touch the disc they will stay rust free :)

Thats what im hoping, the brakes on the VTR imo are poop. :)

It's quite hard to explain but basically I never used to brake late into a corner because I didn't know if I'd lock a wheel. Now I don't brake late into a corner because I can feel the wheels beginning to lock on the greasy roads.

Standard size (Disc Size: 247mm), cant fit any bigger without increasing the wheel size. :)

Yes you can, late 306 xsi or early 206 gti (both 266mm) ones fit fine under 14" rims, you do of course need new calipers and carriers though ;)

One thing I will say, don't expect miracles from different pads and new same size discs. You will notice a difference but don't expect to be outbraking evo's :p

I'm running Mintex pads on my Civic at the moment, not sure which model but they are noticeably sharper than the ones on when I got the car. They do squeal just slightly as the brakes are first applied but I've had no problems with them.

Hopefully your motor should stop better and feel a bit smoother mate :D

Oh yeah i understand the size of the disc is the most important factor in increasing braking performance, i feel this will be the best improvment i will get without upping the size. :)
