Looking forward to Monday.

Thats what im hoping, the brakes on the VTR imo are poop. :)

Fitting new disks and pads may help but you really need to cure the underlining problem -->

If the VTR layout is anything like my non VTR saxo was, instead of mouting the master cylinder on the drivers side for RHD cars they kept it as per the LHD car, this means a rod from the pedal to cylinder, very poor feel in the pedal and little confidence in the brakes at all.

Can this be cured, and if so what kind of cost are we looking at? :)

Lots..... and i doubt it would be possible due to other things being in the way on the drivers side bulkhead.

Damm.

Well hope this cures the problem of it not wanting ot stop, hopefully the feel may improve if not i will have to live with it. :(

I doubt chavs have even heard of braided brake hoses :)

You'll find braided hoses on a lot of performance cars.

I see what you mean, i just dont want to turn up at the garage and the guy says wtf are these for n00b, you dont need them and they are crap etc etc. :(

If any garage said that to me, I would take my business else where.

Braided hoses are there for a purpose, no matter what car you have. The garage doesn't know whether they'd be for road use or track use.

Now, LED washer jets are another matter altogether...

LED washer jets are bling.

Yeah i see what you mean, although if i guy in a garage says xy is useless i believe them as i am a car novice, and dont want to appear silly buying unecessary parts for my motor.

I don't think I'd bother. They do make a difference, as rubber hoses bulge under the pressure when you press the brakes, but braided don't, so all the pressure goes to the calipers, gives a better feel mainly. Quite expensive though, iirc, for not much gain..

I have braided hoses. They make a noticable difference to pedal feel :)

There they are! :D

cymatty make sure you fit the shims to the back of the M1144s or you will probably be removing them again in the future to fit shims. If you phone TMD friction today they will send them out to you and you should get them by tomorow or monday at the latest. The pads screach without them and it will probably soon get on your nerves, with them they are nearly silent.(This is all assuming like me you didnt get the shims your were supposed to with the pads).
