Well we know who won the lottery at *** weekend :D

Great choises - apart from mismatch of speakers as above but I m sure theres good reason

not sure if i can mention the company bought from as they sell some stuff that ocuk do.

but they had the cyrus 8 combo/ monitor audio speakers on at £600 off for the bundle, which IMO is very good as cyrus gear doesnt usually go cheap :)

Nice :)

You ought to give that amp back to the children and go for some of the Cyrus Power amps :) Will fill that sexy stand up a treat when coupled with the seperate power supplies :)

If Cyrus keep up the good work you are buying into a great manufacturer. Their service is second to none from all I have heard. I hope you got the terminations sorted for the cable at the amp end :) Cyrus always had a thing for banana plugs until fairly recently when I heard (unconfirmed though) that these later amps have moved to some obscure connector on the back (the inverse of a banana plug, but I have forgotten the proper term for it).

Get them set up and run in and let us all know how it sounds in a week or so!

Nice setup, I'm a big fan of Cyrus kit too! Mine isn't exactly cutting edge, but I love the sound. I bet yours sounds brilliant. Have fun with it.

Cyrus tend to have BFA plugs on their amps, which are very silly indeed! Mine luckily has standard banana plug terminals, so I'm ok for the moment.

you lucky bleeder

just picked up a Cyrus III second hand and its a fantastic amp, god only nows how good your setup will sound.

as for the connectors, what are cyrus using these days. my first cyrus III that went pop (my own fault :( ) took special 3mm connectors, they were a complete pain to source.

The replacement Cyrus III amp arrived in work this morning and it looks slightly different, and has a green sticker on the box saying 'New BFA compatable connectors' im hopin gthere the same as the old 3mm ones or at very worse a standard 4mm banana plug will fit, dont fancy tracking down any more speacialist bits

I'm sure I'm using standard 4mm plugs on my Cyrus 3.

still waiting for it to be fully run in, but already sounds great. the most obvious change is that the speakers have much more depth to the bass, other than that there is an improvement in detail but more importantly i just find myself listening to loads of music as it just sounds right! :)
