Not seen too many folks talking about this yet but is anyone else looking forward to the new Lords of the Fallen? It comes out on Friday and looks awesome, full seamless co-op and I love the two world mechanic. Elden Ring was my GOTY last year and I thought, after Starfield, that Baldurs Gate 3 would be unchallenged for my GOTY this year but perhaps LOTF just might give it a run if it turns out good.

struggling to get enthused with anther souls like game, feel pretty burnt out on them now. Apart from the lantern mechanic not sure if it does anything new
Other than the two world mechanic and the seamless co-op from start to finish, I dont think it does do anything new as such

I picked it up for £30 on cdkeys (using a few quid off that I have on my cdkeys account), looking forward to giving it a try over the weekend

"Lords of the Fallen will feature 30 bosses to fight towards three unique endings. In addition, the game has 13 player classes with four of them secret, 194 weapons and shields, 76 spells and catalysts, and 339 armor pieces"

Certainly sounds like its going to have some decent content length, wonder what the 4 hidden classes are.

Looks like the 8/10s that I'm seeing at most places seems to be about the average....unless you are Eurogamer of course :D

lol

sounds about right, eurogamer gonna eurogamer

Three reviewers that I actually know and trust gave it 9, 8 and 9, so I expect it to be pretty damn good
Sounds like the worst of the performance issues are on consoles (PC Master race :) ) and Eurogamer reviewed it on PS5

Game is out but CD Keys still not sent codes. Hope they sort it soon.

Above is a 2 hour video, really need a TL:DR version of that!
Hehe, I skipped it to the 3060 , 1440 section...general gist of it was DLSS on quality, Shadows on Med or High, Visual Effects on High, Post processing on High, Reflections on High, Global Illumination on Med, Foliage on High, Motion Blur off and the rest on Ultra, gave around the 60fps mark.

Well, character made, used the settings I mentioned above and currently at 1440, DLSS on quality , showing as 92fps. Thats fine, will give it a run around for a bit and see if that drops

So far at least , I'm happy with the performance despite the horror stories about performance. On 1440, mix of high and ultra, havent dropped below 60fps yet.

I wonder if there is any way to hide or at least move, players healthbars in co-op, the co-op players healthbar is in a very obtrusive position on the screen and is much too large for my liking
