It was indeed a long time ago that signup opened. IIRC it was yesterday.

If you pre-order on steam you will get a separate alpha to install however there is a problem atm and although it will show in the library there is no Install button! <-- they are working on fixing it

If you get a key via the sign up it will work as soon as you use it.

Same here, signed up yesterday via amazon, and received steam alpha key today. Didn't have chance to play yet, though.

Looks nice graphically, must say that the combat animations I've seen in videos look good but I'm on the fence currently, I can never quite click with the anime giant sword lark in these sorts of games, you know the ones, where a 6ft guy is wielding a 10 ft sword which is so large and heavy that he has to drag it along the floor behind him. Its a staple of the anime type of genre I know but I just prefer my 2 handed weapons in games to look like a person could actually wield it. Depending how the reviews for it go though I might try and overcome that long enough to play
