Lost Folder on HD

Well, i took out my backup drive from the external enclosure and when i connect the drive (Sata) to the motherboard all my files show up except the Videos folder (50g of videos of my daughter)!!!!

I done a data recovery check on the drive and the missing folder shows up!!

I can't put the drive back into the enclosure as i gave that to my mate who has gone away!!

What has happened? The folder was there one min and gone the next?

Surely if this is a backup then you just shrug, reformat the drive and take the backup again?

I know hot to get it back for sure if HDD ain't Physically broken.

Not free but how much is the DATA worth to you? and you can run it for free and see your files and grab smaller ones.

You for obv reasons cant recover to the same HDD.

Well, i tried 2 programs:

GetDataBack: Didn't find the deleted folder at all!!!

File Scavenger: Found the missing folder and i was able to recover it.

So, File Scavenger has my vote!

Cool, I always plug it as it saved my bacon (you can see in my posts history why and ho bad the HDD was messed up).

backup drive = a copy of data that you already have

so that's just an external storage drive, get a backup
