**Lost Odyssey Official Thread**

This game looks the dogs dangles :D. After finishing The Witcher i put my Sword of the Gods +12 back in the attic for the next good thing

Checked out the links provided and was well impressed :o

Back off i go and get me Sword back out, all ready for the end of the month and saw the main character take a hit from the meteroite and though oh my god he is solid

Sword not hard enough for this guy so had to put it away LoL :D

Thanks for links and info for this game, realy looking forward to it ;)

Off to take my medication, and where did i put the Spankmaster 6000 :D

I command you to order a copy off ebay :D

There is no grinding, the Levelling system is odd to say the least and i wont say im in love with it myself. But because of the way it works there is no grinding required. when you enter a new area almost every battle results in level ups, the same is true of a player lagging behind for being out of your squad. But after a few fights you get very few exp toward your next level, so it would take an age to go up even one level and you would go up in about 2 fights if you moved on.

Like a said, im not in love with the levelling system, but you rarely face a boss where you are outclassed, usually all that is needed is a good strategy. The one area of the game where 'grinding' would give merits is skill learning. You learn skills fromk armour you wear and from other team members. These skills are learnt after enough battles have been fought with the skills set. Therefore, if you come to a boss who'se killer move is paralyze-all, you might go 'grinding' so that everyone in your squad has 'resist paralyze' in their skill list.

Great game

Just noticed that if you preorder at a popular competitor's site you get a bonus ingame level and weapon...

Anyone know anything about what these might be?

Might give it a go.

I cant rememeber what they were but im sure its the same download content whats going to be made available in Japan.

Its very good :D Mine was waiting on the mat for me when i got home.Only been playing for about 30 mins or so but im loving it.Love the battle system too...quite similar to FFX

Come on you ppl whos got the game, share your experiences, are you having fun:)

Really enjoying it up to now.Not all that far as yet...just beaten the 2nd boss.I must say though that some of the enemies are fairly tough even at this stage
Anyway if you love your RPG's (like me) then your in for a treat :D The game is very reminiscent of FFX with a great battle system.

The only downside i have with the game is the on screen map.Its very basic to say the least.

I played this till the first save point, initially i thought wow, what a start, and i cant wait to get into it now, it looks fantastic, and looks to have an interesting story, which was something that ive not really been grabbed by any similar game for quite a while.
