Lost Odyssey review has made me sad

I talk crap yet you have still failed to name any innovations in games from Japan, instead going on about a control system and a storage device.

You asked me to name features on the 360, I named 2, you then try to discredit one by saying can name a few other fully intetgrated online systems, you failed to name any other than gamespy that worked on about 2 games up to 2000, and then they even gamespy started to be used with Xbox live, so how am I talking crap?

Why does Blu Ray or HD DVD make games better or fresh or innovate them? If Blu Ray is such an innovation to gaming then why does it mean slower load times, and the need to duplicate the game data across the disk to reduce the slow read times? yet you say I am talking crap? oh dear

You cant say whats innovative without first stating what video gaming is.

Are games now based on how realistic they are or how fun they are? Thats just a simple question with 2 simple answers but theres lots to look into. For example with the online boom we have seen, Japan is lacking in that department, but maybe thats not what video games are about?!

In my opinion britain is driving the games industry forward, setting trends, breaking barriers and raising the bar!

I don't see why you shouldn't count the Blu Ray player as a + point for the PS3, if it's a Blu Ray player that you're after.

We're at least 2 generations past the time that all consoles did was play games.

Sure its a plus point if you want a BR player, but the format is not really innovating the way we game is it, so I would not consider BR or HD DVD as innovations in the gaming market, movie market yes off course :)

I wasn't really referring to it as an innovation, my comment was a direct response to yaboy's post:

People use BluRay as a good excuse to buy a ps3, when ps3 is a friggin console not a dvd player it's ment for games <_>

Just wanted to say that..

..is all.
