1920x1200, all max, game is set to 4xAA but I just noticed I have 8xAA in the CCC (not application controlled)

A scene 1 (cba to run the rest) - 43

B - 41.4

This one is another bench much like mafia 2 where you say "where did all that horsepower go!"

First benchmark i got rank A 87.2 fps and thought o my this game looks real bad.

Second benchmark was running single figure fps so stopped the test and removed the pos from my hd.

Sounds like a x-fire profile is needed for this game. SLI didnt work properly before the patch was released and if I forced SLI (alt1 or alt2) it also gave me single figures. No doubt ATI will updated their drivers for xfire and this game/demo. :)

Couldn't get screenshots but results are below. I'm guessing this is quite heavily optimised for Nvidia cards, going by all the branding :p

Intel Core i5 750 & ATi 5850. 1680x1050, max detail, 4xAA.

DirectX 11

Test 1: 27.3
Test 2: 32.7

DirectX 9

Test 1: 67.9
Test 2: 56.3

I got better scores than you did, yay. :D

I'm going to have a laugh and try this out on my i7 920 @ stock with a Nvidia GTS240 @ stock.

Going to run it @ 1680x1050 and 1920x1080, obviously DX9 all max and no AA.

My monitor while using a DVI cable does not allow me to use 1680x1050 so I've only got 1920x1080 results :o

Even thought the fps was quite low it was actually quite smooth and I did not notice much lag or any slide show style scenes.

I think its time for a graphics card upgrade.

Not bad considering what card you have :)

Dirt2 DX11+tessellation=Nvidia win...in an ATI endorsed game, need I say more?

Pardon me? It's not like ATI is worse or much worse, they just have lesser tesselation capabilities. They're powerful enough to power any DirectX 11 game out there though and by the time some more demanding games pop up, ATI's mainstream range will nail in tessellation performance again. ATI cards are better suited for the market tbh.

More or less the same :p Did you have DX11 level on high as well? Its the option at the bottom of the list off the screen.

Dunno

Continuing the dispute about tessellation performance :

Radeon 5830 nailing GeForce 460 1GB? Sad times.

PS I know some charts are bull****. So is saying that Nvidia is MUCH better in tessellation than ATI. They are better but I wouldn't exaggerate. It's nowhere near 50% or something of this calibre. ATI ain't ****, period.
