Lost Planet:extreme condition

Just started playing it with everything full whack AA on CQA 16X etc. Had a steady fps of about 50, do you think ill experiance problems later on in the game ?

Been playing the game for about 30 mins and then it crashed on me, the music was still playing but no animation and then it just hung all together !? Whats the crack with that.

put your overclocks back to stock and see if it still happens. how did you test your overclocks for stability by the way?

Ive found the problem, i googled it and it seems its a common problem with the 8800 cards. ive now installed the 160.02 quadro drivers and have been playing the game with no problems atal, also with a higher FPS !

Excellant game !

Just had the same problem, grabbing those 160.02's now, hopefully they fix it... :(

160.02's work a treat, runs great, looks great, and i'm enjoying it greatly :D

Brilliant, good to hear the drivers workd for you too !

Me too, glad you posted about it earlier or no doubt i'd have been messing about with setting and overclocks all night trying to get it working lol

Those 160.02's work a treat though played solid for about 4hrs ( :p ) yesterday night and not a problem.

As for FPS, I havn't even looked tbh, i'm running 1680x1050 4xAA 16xAnniso, everything max appart from shadows at medium (just because from this thread I gathered they kill performance), and it feels more than smooth enough (apart from when you are being bombed to **** by about a billion rockets lol).

One thing I'm enjoying is how they have kept the full 360 pad config built in, and the fact it supports the rumble feature of the pad as well, no its not as accurate as using the mouse, but its a lot more fun playing it with the pad with rumble :D

PS - I'll have a look at the FPS tonnight when I have a play.

I was playign LP DX9 in XP right, and I thought, hmmm I wonder what will happen if I shoot this guy who's with me, so I did and my whole system locked up haha.

Was that in DX10 and what res?

I just been playing, with 16xAA/AF, all max but shadows at medium, 1280x900 I get around 22fps were your in all the snow and near a big cliff and then walk around the corner to kill some spider things then the massive thing some out of the ground.

Same place I get 45 in DX9

got any dx10 screenshots?

Looks exactly the same, according to the developers the DX10 path is just meant to be code optimisations... yet it actually runs slower in DX10...

For me DX10 appears to run the same as DX9 lol.

I disabled AA/AF, disabled Concurrent rendering and were I was getting 20fps I was getting 50-55fps, with NV Control panel AA/AF but I dunno if that works, looks abit jaggy but still you could see blurs on edges as if AA was trying to be used, this was in DX10.
