Love

First date is it. Geez, get some balls. Trust me, if you go soft, it will end in tears.

Girls need a challenge as much as guys. I've spent my life growing up surrounded by women, and I can assure you 'nice guys' ends up being 'friends'.

I concur, "treat 'em mean keep 'em keen" does have some truth behind it

Just text her saying that you had to watch all your 40gigs worth of pr0n to just stop thinking about her and make you tired enough to sleep. Failing that, just start texting her and try and get her to think about pr0n and then she won't be able to sleep. This way you get your own back.

Texts about pr0n rule! :D

Oh dear, your a virgin aren't you? LOL :p

You might want to be in love and you may well love things about her already but I very much doubt your in love with her.

I think your just very excited, you have found someone that you think is fantastic and the needy side of the human nature is thiking wow this person is great, this is what I have been waiting for, this person will solve my problems, this person makes me feel better etc.

Propper love is incredibly deep and intimate it's a harmony of two souls. As someone said earlier you would give your life to save somone you truely love and not think twice about it. I very much doubt you feel like that about her already.

Take a step back chill out and see what happens, it's ok to be excited but keep it realistic.

Ever fallen for someone (even after only one date) so badly that you can't even sleep at night ?

Yes you can.
Yes I have.

Am moving in with her as soon as I can sell my house.
Other people might be concerned about how quick things can move, but believe me when you've found "the one" (I used to hate that phrase, but it fits so well for me) then you'll know.
Have waited all my life for this and I'm loving every minute of it. :D

I think what this thread title describes happened to me when I was 16. I travelled all the way to America to see a girl. Waste of time, in retrospect.

But love is real, no matter if you think about it religiously or evolutionarliy. It's a very powerful motivationary force.

Id say a good five knuckle shuffle/spanking the monkey would fix that tbh...

As Ray Lin said earlier, that aint love dude thats lust simple as that.

The only thing I can say here is that the older I get the more I realise feelings that I thought were love when I was younger were in fact lust and infatuation.

Lust and infatuation is the rollercoaster ride that will either end with you getting off and going your seperate ways or spending your life together in love - a more gentle sail along a river - still has its rapids but its gentler pace.

nooooooooooooo love is more complicated than all this!!

i think.

but yes, i have on the odd occasion in the past year and a half had a night of just being awake and ... thinking.

but then i concluded i was going crazy, and went to sleep :)

Some interesting responses.

One thing that nobody mentioned was the idea that only girl matters from that point onward. All others, even attractive ones (on TV or in real life etc) just seem to be unimportant.

Thats a good point, you can still see and find other people attractive but they just seem empty compared to someone you love.

I was going to make a joke about dragons and big girls but I'll resist.
