They're not, people are just getting on their high horses.
Sounds like they could do with some lowering....
I'll get my coat

This thread made me giggle, especially the absolute cutoff that below £1k, suspension is useless. £999 suspension crap and will kill you, £1001 suspension turns your car into an F1 World Championship contender.
Just lol @ this place sometimes!
Durz, did you die when you drove my old Mondeo? Because it had £65 lowering springs on it mate.....
I have Eibach lowering springs on mine, Ford offered them as an option on the same dampers from new.......
Mind, i did replace the lot so dampers (OE) springs, top mounts etc. When i read about it the dampers can easily take 30mm drop in spring height/rate because they have a wide operating window load dependant, imagine how different a car is when fully loaded, even then the OE damper will have a bit of tolerance engineered in.
Saying lowering springs will make a car pogo of the road is utter madness, pure muppetry!
Nah you're wrong mate, NathanE said so, and he drives a Lotus therefore knows everything about handling.
Clarkey give it a rest, you have been warned twice now.
Please stop mouthing off!
What, really? He is arguing on Motors, everyone does this. Clarkey from what I can see is not being over the top compared to many others from various threads.

If lowering springs are such a bad idea why do manufacturers supply Eibach as an optional extra?
