THATS HOW WE DID IT IN THE DAYS OF EMPIRE!

Spot of tiffin aswell, for you carry on fans...

Depends if you have your main meal in the middle of the day or the evening, eg

breakfast - (obviously) morning
lunch - mid morning
dinner - evening

But on a Sunday for instance..................

breakfast - morning
dinner - (Sunday roast) 1pm'ish
tea - 5pm

Speaks the truth, but a roast dinner on sunday can also be at lunchtime. Only exception :p

Tea is a drink brewed from a teabag, not a goddamn meal !!!

Lunch is lunch

Dinner == Tea

Well from that set of rules:

Lunch = Lunch
Therefore, Dinner = Dinner

:mad: :mad: They are names for meals in the day. There is clearly regional and personal variation. Your definition is not universally correct, so SHUT UP! :mad: :mad:

Tea - its served around 5 - tea/cakes/biscuits or a light meal served late in in the afternoon - it is not the same thing as dinner.

The term 'tea' instead of dinner is a lower class/northern expression.
