Lying on an internet forum?

Not really - it's not really any different from years ago when people had pen pals etc.

I suppose it's a little strange though when I know more about people I've never met than I do about people at work, or relatives etc.

One thing I would say is that the internet allows much more 'large-scale' communication, i.e. you can post on a forum, or a website etc and have that information read and absorbed by thousands of people. Whereas in 'real-life', unless you are stood right next to people it's quite hard to start up a conversation with them, or even hear what they are talking about. So each statement you make on the internet potentially reaches a much wider audience than it would normally.

JohnnyG is famous for being Jailbird's postman, IIRC.

edit: as for the Harley/Sequoia thing, the latter's support for Dirtydog in a recent underboss thread was interesting. I remember Harley being quite suprised, and perhaps even a little impressed at just how much DD had observed/deduced about him a while back...
Or at least about the persona being presented, eh Seq? ;)

That reminds me, I was doing a bit of work for MI6 yesterday, apparently the other 00' agents have managed to get themselves in trouble again and I'm going to have to go in and save the day. This is a bit of a shame, because I'd been enjoying a bit of Moneypenny action and chilling out with vodka martinis, for some bizarre reason 'shaken and not stirred', which is frankly disgusting but hey, I'm kind of stuck with it now.

I am also the Stig from Top Gear. My real name is Richard Hammond. That's why you never see both on screen at once and why I (Hamster) always do the race type things.
Bet you didn’t see that coming.

Ive made a couple of typos on days I have received things before, thats about it for the forums but nothing intentional bar my age when I first signed up.

On msn I once added a 3 instead of a £ to how much I am paying for my car insurance, they gave me a huge rant before I managed to do the *£ bit as I went for a drink, very funny at the time but I suppose you had to be there.

Personally, I do not see the point in lying on the internet, you will never gain anything from what you have crafted at all, so whats the point!?

A while back someone on here wanted advice about a bird they were just starting to see. Aparently she was a model that had been doing some boobies shots (nutts or zoo - something like that). Anyway we all asked him to post some pics of her and he posted this...

Anyway, this pic has just done the rounds in a Best T-Shirt ever email!!! Is this another forum BS'er??

Edit...

Just found the thread!

No it's not a forum bs'er its a real life bs'er she was full of **** she never worked for zoo she only sent them that pic which they featured in there funny t-shirts bit in the jpeg section. She did not recieve any money for it.

The magazine she posed for was a much more slutty one.

Needless to say when i found out she was dumped.

But most of you will know I'm back with my ex and we have a baby on the way so Im glad Sarah turned out to be a penis :D

Would do but i have binned it now. :( Basically iirc, it had aboout 10 jpg attachments and the bird can in 10th. I think the winner was that pic of a baby wearing 'all i won't was a b......'.

Infact i wouldnt be supprised if the images were lifted off the mags website or something.

Edit... found it and sent.

I think general forum members just have a habit of not believing anything, they demand proof of everything. It is fun pwning them and making them eat their hats though:)

Its becuase there are so many people around who will BS, pass others success off as their own, exagerate and big themselves up to be something they are not :)

This makes it difficult for those few who genuinelly do have something amazing/whatever/etc. The amount of wannabe richboys we've had in Motors is ridiculous, best was the guy with the M3 everyone later found for sale on a website..

I guess so, but it gets a bit tiring. In the end it just becomes a bit depressing.......do I post something wonderful on a forum of people who would appreciate that sort of thing but also get caught in the crossfire of 'omg bs'..........or do I just keep it to myself without the headache and listening to idiots? I'm leaning towards the latter these days.

Show off and get thought of as a wetter and get BS calls or not show off... easy choice if you ask me, you took your time ;)
