Lynx / Axe Java spray deodourant

Edit, atlantis is worth a mention too!

Was that the one that had a bit of an aniseed odour?

Some Lynx/Axe was/is better than others, personally I bought it (never as a teenager and I'm nearly 53 now) as the good ones were a reasonable compromise between the real cheapo stuff from Boots and stuff like Aramis or Armani which you bought once a year at the Duty Free.

The most lamented 90's fragrance, as I've remarked on here before is the old Celsius Aftershave, vanished without a trace. Insignia was pretty good too, albeit not the Rio brand which smelt like next door's aromatic pipe tobacco (I'm assuming it was tobacco).

Minotaur was one that just disappeared too...

Nivea, Dove or Rightguard for me, whichever is on offer.

I haven't bought Lynx since I was about 13, when I'm sure everyone only bought it due to peer pressure.

That said, if I happen to receive it in a gift set for some reason, I'll use it up, but normally as a spare for after sports/activities etc, rather than everyday use.

Bit of a necro here... :D But home bargain has Java for 2.29. I just got some. and it doesn't smell like I recell, so after, 9 years, I'm pretty dissapointed to say the least. Will check out this quorum silver next. Stand by for update in 2030. Cheers all

On a similar subject, I want the Impulse fragrances from the 1990s back. Loved O2 and Solar. On the school German exchange trip, my friends and I went to Karstadt (dept store) and saw the EDT of these and had to buy! Never seen the EDT of these since

My unemployed sister in law gets me a Lynx body wash/deodorant set for Christmas. Every. Single Year.

I wouldn't mind if it was a decent anti-perspirant that served a purpose, but their deodorant is basically useless guff.

This is one reason why my family don’t do Christmas presents.
Giving toiletries as presents is a no no, unless get given products they like and can use.

As a colleague has very sensitive skin. Always gets stuff she can’t use. Another friend gets stuff which is more suited to someone 50 years older (Lily of the Valley)

My wife has crazy sensitive skin, with so many allergies I don’t even bother with perfume.

Off the top of my head; scented candles, paper, glue, perfume, tree moss, parfum, linalool, limonline… basically any ingredient in soap plus some random crap.

The irony is she’s a teacher and the kids / parents buy her all the stuff she’s allergic to :D
