Just a quick follow up, now I have everything installed.
PC has PCIe4.0 X16, PCIe4.0 X4 & 2 X PCIe3.0 X1
Installed 3 x 4tb SN850x NVME drives, the 2 with heatsinks are in the faster slots (those PCI cards came with them included). The x1 didn't come with one. Will add one if needed. Still 1 PCIe3.0 X1 slot so I may buy one more drive and adaptor (while the NVME drives are cheap). Computer also has 4 x SATA ports, but SATA SSDs costs so much more than NVMEs for 4TB capacities at the moment.
The PCI4.0 X4 Slots give about 6700Mb/s sequential read and write and the PCI3.0 X1 slot gives about 670Mb/s
