M1/135

I'd be looking at:-
997.1C2S or C4S around 30k will get a clean 06/07 car with low miles and warranty.

Or how about a Boxster Spyder for 35k or a gen2 Cayman S.

Or go with a superb example of a CSL, best M3 ever and now more or less zero depreciation.

Or drop 35k on GTR, scratch the itch and get rid in 6 months after it's emptied your bank account from it's manic fuel consumption. :D

Don't care about fuel as it doesn't cost me anything :p

Plan is to be a good 'normal' car while I'm finding somewhere to move to. Decided no on the 1M, just sticks out too much.

135 is current front runner. It's only for the next 6-12 months while I find somewhere new to live, then I'll be back in something special I think.

Additional info...(after a 32k insurance loss)

1M insurance = 2.6k
135 = 1.5k
M3 = 1.5k

The 1M needs to be a *lot* better, and I don't believe it is.

Guess I"m just checking I'm not mental.

135 insurance should be a whole lot less than that - mine came out at £465 from Admiral with £150XS. (8k miles per annum, 3yr NCB, 27yr old).

But you don't live in London and haven't had an E92 M3 stolen recently!

Yup, Central London post-code too. 40 year old, 25k miles PA, 15-20 of that business use, no NCB and a 32k insurance loss on the cards :p

If I swap it to my parents hour in the midlands it drops by about 65%.
