M4 Vs Corsair

currently deciding on this too for my main pc to get rid of a velociraptor, the force 3 is 15£ cheaper and hits the 1£/gb but everyone loves the m4,

Tough one eh! Specs seem the same. Corsair aren't exactly known for being unreliable. I'm tempted by it! Plus it looks nicer, not that you see it.

it is indeed, i said i wouldnt get one until £1/GB and here it is, £120 for the 120GB f3 vs the price you listed above. dunno what to do, also now is a good time to sell my velociraptor as the price of mechanical HDDs is so high

Why are the prices increasing? Need more space as my 128gb M4 is full and was saving for a 256gb but might just get another 128 and go raid0 if they are going up a lot..

The drive is that popular that Crucial cant make enough for demand.

As such prices go up in a bid to slow things down a little and to make crucial more money.

Theres old stock about though but I wouldnt expect it to last longer than perhaps 3-4weeks.

Found the M4 for £134.50 and free delivery within 5 days, says 412 in stock. Very tempted.

It was 480+ there 3 days ago.

That gives you an idea of Run rate and how long this will last.

Disti re-buy is more than they are selling for so very foolish of them for selling at that price.

Supply and demand then and a bit of money making along the way.;)

Indeed it is.

However, as said, itll not last long which is why now is the best time to buy.

OcUK will make sure we are very competitive when everyone elses stocks reach them same cost level :)

Even though I am very tempted to buy @ £135 I can't really afford it at the moment and would prefer to buy from OcUK. Hopefully the price increase won't last too long and OcUK will have some good offers in the near future. End of Feb/March would be good.:D

OcUK are always my first choice also. However there's nothing wrong with the other place, customer service is also excellent and at £135 you can't knock it!

I have purchased from there in the past with no problems. Mainly small items though, never bought any major hardware from them.

i dont know whether to buy the m4 or not, i really shouldnt but the price is so good
