There is webcam support, but only for corporate accounts.. which is odd because they said the next version of messenger would merge the video standards of corporate and personal so the both work :/
It doesn't like my uni proxy for some reason, with both automatic settings from network preferences and by manually entering the proxy. Never had this problem with older version. (unless i'm missing something)
Wow the Mac team at Microsoft must all have downs or something, first Office 2008, then an RDP beta that expires and they can't fix for three months, and now absolutely no sign of the webcam support that was promised for this version. It's almost as poor as Apple's efforts at writing Windows applications.

I like the way it looks, and hopefully it will stop the problem I have from time to time where I can't sign in for days (but every other Messenger client is fine). Can't believe they've not added some of the stuff from the PC version like nudges, and the lack of video is going against what they said earlier
