Mac Mini energy efficient and powerful?

I'm apparently being charged just over 540 for it. Mind you it's been stuck at order being processed for the last 10 hours or so.

Here's hoping!
 
I've ordered mine with a nice tasty discount of 28% :D

It's 2.53ghz model , due with me on the 4th hopefully.

Yep. It's ace! I questioned whether I should have flogged the Macbook and just got an iMac 21.5 inch, but I'm pleased I went with the Mini and Macbook combo in the end. Loads of USB ports and now I also get firewire as well!

Only thing I do miss is the decent(ish) stereo sound I would have gotten with an iMac, but it's no biggie really.

Bummer, I forgot to order myself the remote until I saw that! Tbh I didn't realise the Mini had the necessary receiver for it.
 
Gutted, now you've got me thinking of getting me a Mac that I can use one with. Damn you!!

Enjoy the Mini though ;-)
 
Btw.. you can control XBMC from your iPhone :D

So if you have an iPhone/Touch then a remote isn't required (also the remote I don't think works with the mini but it can replace my old white MBP one!).

Correct, I had to disable the receiver on mine when I got it all set up in the front room because the remote from the Apple TV was adjusting the volume on the Mini.

Now I've moved the Mini out of the front room it's all OK but it was quite a surprise when it first happened!
 
Yeah the receiver is to the right of the optical drive on the mini. You can see the darker section on the front in most pictures :)
 
Blimey, can't believe I missed that. I set it up on arrival and never looked at it since. I've got mine hiding under one corner of the monitor.
