Mac music creation

Hello!

Wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a decent (free) piece of software for recording and editing music.
Something along the lines of Cubase but for OS X.

It is, still worth a try as it's free (part of iLife). I think Logic Express is more what you are after though, and it's pretty reasonably priced. You can upgrade to the full Logic Studio later if you need to:
