**Mac Pro Ordered**

'Prepared For Shipment'

A day after its actual 'Expected Shipping 5th June 08' it has now changed status.

I now expect it to arrive perhaps Tuesday now? It did state either the 6th (Today) or 9th (Monday).

Whatever date it finally does arrive, I now have to seriously decide on a monitor and order that memory from the states.

I received my Asus Eee yesterday, so that'll keep me ocupied during the weekend!

Oh the excitment!

Big day for me tomorrow guys, the whole sh-bang is arriving. Mac Pro - Monitor etc...

Time to get excited & nervous :eek:

Getting myself a decent digital camera as well, so expect many-o-pictures to be posted soon.

I wanted tomorrow off work, but it was too later notice to do so. So its a case of straight home, and start on the 'construction'.

It'll be good to see another Mac Pr0n.

Resisting temptation at the moment.. Infact with Parallels I'm even more impressed by my MacBook Pro.. little thing packs a massive punch.
 
Highpoint 3522 can boot a Mac Pro with an update from the Highpoint website.

Only problem is that is an external card so need enclosure.

Not sure about Bootcamp on the Highpoint.

Yes, really really quiet! Didn't think it would be, so very happy.

I still getting my way around it all, formatted 2 times now. I did a Time Machine backup to restore my whole image, but I think its slowed down the OS with crap.

I fancy doing a totally fresh install but then just copy my music/movies/docs.

When I first used the machine with a fresh install it was amazing, now though I can hear the HDD working more? Still fast as hell though!

GBench coming up...

Shame about the 'beadle keyboard.. monitor makes up for that though!
 
Awesome machine - I have the dual quad 2.8 w/6GB for work (considering I only run a text editor most of the time, that's a bit silly :D) and it's an amazing machine. I love that Photoshop starts in an instant!

That machine you've just bought it going to kick ass! Nice pics.
