Can't a forum have a nice heated debate? Why would this be off topic? So long as it doesn't cross the line.

I would just like to address this quote.

Other than the fact that if you took 1000 mac owners and 1000 pc owners 80% of the pc owners will get a virus and realistically none of the mac owners will get one

Also in 4 years the pc will run like a dog and the mac will most likely be the same as the day it was brought

Also of your 1000 pc owners 50 will need to reinstall windows and 75% will get various software not working issues

Now if your PC is getting viruses.....well it's your own fault for not being savvy enough to know what the hell you are doing.

Maybe these sorts of people deserve Macs, think of it like a Fisherprice computer, not quite free enough to do any damage.

My PC doesn't run like a dog either, I have Hard Disk space, defrag and am generally organised. Again, these sorts of people should stick with Macs

I'm sure you can tell I work in Customer Technical Support and speak to numpties all day long. One of the most popular queries are Apple iPhone users disabling Cookies without knowing the full effects of what they are doing. And they wonder why they are unable to login to our website.

I have a PC and have become somewhat bored of reinstalling windows all the time, Windows 7 is becoming old (for me anyways), I would like to get an iMac soon they look professional looking, no box around.

This should go well :)

It never does. It will end up locked. As they always inevitably do. So before the lock, stop worrying about what other people use and just use what works for you. If that means a Windows based PC, a Mac or a ****ing Amiga 1200, so be it.

You're totally right! I'd never seen it that way. I knew I liked my Mac, but I couldn't put my finger on why. Turns out because it's a 'FISHER PRICE COMPUTER'!

You should try and spread that one around, I bet there's a few people who would really get a chuckle out of calling a Mac a FISHER PRICE COMPUTER!

You are a hoot! And original with it.

I like my mac, its been over 2 years and its still awesome. The fact that its just a nice pc that runs osx is a slight extra, it has a button less track pad that makes using other track pads weird and scary.

I hug my mac when its sad.....
