Macbook Pro 17" Looks very good.

Nobody mentioned the Logic question - it would run ok depending on how many tracks/effects you were using. A couple of tracks with little/no effects would be ok - the more you add, the more it's going to be an issue.

I don't think people know the answer, My advice? Book some time with a Genius at an Apple store and get to try out Logic.

Although according to this you should be OK:

Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later
QuickTime 7.2 or later

Additional recommendations for Logic Pro

It's a lovely looking beast, and beast is the right word - Just slightly too large for me. I've ordered my 15" MBP today, can't wait!

The keyboard looks too small.

I agree with it being a little too large but then I find the 15" MBP too large as well (my brother has one)

If only they made a 13" one! The 13" MacBook form factor is what fits me best.

Still those pictures are pure Apple porn. :o:)

Saw the 17" MBP in the Apple Store yesterday, it's every bit as good as those pictures suggest. If only it wouldn't tear out my heart at the current price it would be something to consider.
