Yes, there is a sequel coming. :D

So, it looks like Machete is hired by the US government, to fight his way through Mexico, in order to stop a warlord launching a weapon into space.

Lady Gaga - check
Cuba Gooding as El Camaleon - check
Mel Gibson as someone in the movie - check
Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States - check

ZOMGWUT??! Well, it's only rumoured, but damn... We can hope. :D

If you watched the first one, can`t believe anybody would want to watch a sequel.
Just another moronic film, hack and slash and no real story.

Clearly you haven't watched it with my bespoke pun-laden subtitles file. :D

LOVED the original. Plot was ridiculous, just an excuse for Danny Trejo to do what he does, and that was more than enough for me.

Edit: Was gonna get Machete to put a message up, but apparently he doesn't post.

Lighten up mate. Nobody came into this film expecting an Oscar winning gritty drama :)
It was good, gory B-movie fun. If you take it seriously, or are expecting more after seeing the trailer, then you've missed the point.

Did you watch the first film with no idea of what you were about to see?

What you on about "Lighten up", I only asked the guy what was so awesome.

I hav`nt watched the trailer, as I have no intention of watching the sequel.

I watched the first knowing full well what it was about. I`ve watched a lot of crap films over the years but have enjoyed them for various reasons. But this was not one of them. But hey, we`re all entitled to our own opinions.

I think people completely WHOOSHED the first movie, it's made like it is by design, it's perfect and Rodriguez through and through.

But hey, fine. You didn't enjoy the silliness. I did, though the big battle at the end was a bit too far into the stupid zone for me tbh.
Apart from that, it was great fun imo.
 
Just watched this tonight, and all I say is WOW. Absolutely awesome.
