There's a cable that runs from your GFX card to the Monitor. Try this.
If that doesn't solve it, there is also a power cable running from your monitor to the mains.
If that doesn't work, there is a power button on the front ( Or back ) of your monitor.
If that doesn't work, is your computer turned on?
