US: Mad Men

Finale was brilliant in so many ways.I was wondering why they choose to have Don galavanting around in the final few eps but it all made sense at the end. and they finally gave Betty a story that made me care about her! (only took 8 years)

Will be sad to see the show go, I could watch all these characters work in an office for another 8 years..

One of the best character shows ever made for sure.
 
Could easily watch another seven seasons.

That Coke advert by McCann-Ericksen in 1971 and Don finally becoming more human at the end of 1970..

Some say he went back to work. :p
 
I can't understand Peggy. Why didn't she take up the partnership with Joan? They had numerous jobs lined up straightaway!
 
She's still working at McCann. If the production company took off, then she'd be rich and be able to 'work' like Roger did. :p
 
Why would Peggy want to work with Joan being a writer for a production company. What Pete said to her really underlined where she should stay at McCann. As already said it wasn't about the money. Peggy isn't the sort of person who was doing it for the money so she could give up work.

Seeing Don make peace with himself and the coke advert was a nice touch to explain it all at the end without having to go into a long winded explaination. Nicely done I thought. Great ending to the story and wrapped things up nicely.
 
She did, but I'm not sure why it makes any difference. It was about her being true to what she had a talent for. She wanted to be head of creative. The job you always wanted and dreamed of versus a job that had more prestige and money. I'd presonally go for the former.

You could never get the dramatic conclusion of Breaking Bad, or what they should have done on Dexter, but at least it closed for all the characters and left some ambiguity over Don.

Did he find peace and walk away from Don Draper and be happy being Dick Whitman? Or did he cash in and create that Coke advert? I guess it depends if you think he could ever change or not..
 
Just got round to finishing series 7. Great finale although my gf wasn't impressed. Shame its all over but shows have to stop somewhere and this was about right.
