Madame Web (2024 - SSU)

Watched it. Trailer was better than the film, which was entirely predictable. Special effects were quite ropey in parts, especially spider-man style jumping which is done much butter in the Tom Hardy, Tobey McGuire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland films. Still wasn't so bad I turned off or had to watch it in 2 sittings. Wouldn't watch again. Probably a 4/10/

Is it worth watching anyway as a one off? I know it might be bad but i tend to at least give it a chance to see for myself lol :D.

If you have absolutely nothing else to do, laundry done, rubbish bags taken out, that thing in the thing that your misses has been asking you to do for months is done, car washed and waxed, tools sorted in size order in correctly labelled drawers etc etc.

Then maybe you can spare the time to watch it.
 
Wow... Just wow, so much cheese and cringe. The screenplay and script really didn't help and when combined with the acting, have any of the actors been in any big movies before? Eternals was terrible, but at least the acting and CGI was decent in parts! I tend to be very forgiving with bad movies if they can somewhat keep me entertained and interested. But this one truly takes the biscuit and is a guaranteed golden raspberry awards winner in my eyes.

Who on earth gave the go-ahead for this steaming pile of poop, you really have to wonder.

It really does smack of AI generated generic by the numbers tosh.

That's standard, it's not made for you but if it fails it's your fault for not going to see it, not the women who it's made for who didn't come to see it, or we that made it, even though it's patently and unquestionably dog **** - it's men's fault.

When will they learn that you need to target your audience properly. Make something the fans actually want to see and watch the box office figures go up.

Eternals gets a bad rap, it's far from great but it was an enjoyable popcorn superhero movie. The same can't be said for Madame Web which has no redeeming features. The story is stupid and it's just a bunch of annoying people getting chased for almost the entire runtime.
