To be honest, if she has been abducted and not killed, she probably remembers nothing of her former life as a McCann, doesn't speak English, etc.

If her new parents are treating her well and love her is it worth turning the poor girls life upside down to return her to people she doesn't know/love? Of course I can understand why her parents want her back, but is it in her best interest?

LOL kidnap? I doubt anyone can recognise her anymore, if she is still alive even the McCann's would probably walk past her in the street non the wiser.

Seriously? So if you kidnap a kid and dont get caught for x amount of time, the kids biological parents cant reclaim them?

You honestly think a system like that would work?

I think the greatest ending could possibly be that Maddie is discovered in 10 years' time having been raised as a Spanish boy, and now a post-op transexual.

Upon being reunited with Kate and Jerry, the early memories come flooding back, causing a mental break. In a fit of existential outrage, he/she rips off its penis and proceeds to beat the pair of them to death, softly repeating "no es bueno... no es bueno...".
