I picked mine up today, anyone else had one...

so far i'm impressed and it's a huge step up on the Mighty Mouse

sadly no pinch to zoom....... yet

Grabbed one myself today as I was in a store anyway and they had them sitting there...more comfortable than the mighty mouse by a fair way...

My concern is the size, I really like a decent sized mouse and the impressions I'm getting is that they're not very tall and won't fill my hand.

That's a valid concern, it's fairly low profile. If you're looking for a more substantial device then you seriously want to try before you buy...

Can you stand a ruler up against it and measure how high it actually is, that'd be good to know.

Well I don't seem to have a ruler handy but for comparison, the high point is about 2cm high from the desk (comparison wise - about a 20p high) and the sides are a bit less (maybe bit more than 5p high).

Oh, that's really tiny, I reckon half the height of my Logitech MX518. I really need to try before I decide to buy.

Is the cable a sensible length or is of the length that's made to plug into an Apple keyboard, just two inches away.

Thought all magic mouse are wireless ?

Yeah, it's fairly tiny. I'd was surprised myself, it works for me but I could understand it might be too small for some. Definitely one to try - which is a shame as the gestures for multitouch are easier to perform than I expected and it's fairly instinctive to use...

As for the cable, wireless only...

Doh, ignore that last one, I'm thinking of the wired Mighty Mouse that's sitting in my Mac Pro box. Double doh!

I do love it, but it's way too flat.

Also, I want my swipe to expose or show desktop, not go back and forward. Hopefully with a software update.

When they came in I rang the lady this one was for and she didn't want it, you said you didn't want it, so I had it :D

Bah, I wanted it this morning when I couldn't have it (still can't, damn refund hasn't come through) but now I'm not so sure.

I think I like it, still deciding though. I'm a little unsure of the sharp edges, and I'm setting off the scroll a bit by accident.

I'm also waiting for a software update to let me assign the swipes to something else (exposé).

Like it so far, it's just a bit strange. Using the ones at the shop isn't the same as sitting at a desk and properly using one for any length of time.

I think the best feature may be the momentum scrolling now I've played it, will be interesting to know if it works with other models of mouse too...

Might try and have a play with one these this weekend if I get chance. It looks good but I think I will have to try one out first.

Are they fairly robust?

:)

I personally love it, it 'fits' differently to all other mice I have ever used. My only criticism is the 'two finger swipe' command, which really isn't that convenient. It is hard to swipe the mouse without using the other hand to keep it still. Scrolling though is fantastic.

Do you find the magic mouse uncomfortable with prolonged use?

Being using it for a few hours now. It's....different. If you use it like a normal mouse, it might hurt your hand. You have to adapt to it and lay your hand flat on it.
