magman's 25,000 tiffy competition
I am now within shooting distance of attaining another one of my major goals for SETI I - my 25,000 WU tiffy.
To celebrate this occasion and to give those of us without races something to keep our SETI interest a bit higher, I though it would be nice to have a little competition to see if you can guess the date and time that I actually reach the 25,000 WU mark.
A competition is useless without a prize. Given that I recently won a nice couple of crunchers from that nice Mr Jaydeee007, a suitable prize would be to turn those crunchers over to the winner for a tiffy's worth of WU's. In other words, the winner of my little competition would have exclusive use of this brace of crunchers for the production of 100 WU's, about 9-10 days worth of production from these machines.
I also think it's worth setting a few rules, as follows:

- As with Jaydee's comp, I will set up another thread were guesses can be entered.
- The Guesses thread will be opened from noon tomorrow.
- All guesses have to be entered by Midnight on 5th February 2003.
- All guesses must be entered in the Guesses thread to be valid.
- Guesses should be to the nearest minute.
- Only members of the OcUK SETI team need apply.
- Only one guess per forum member.
- There can be no duplicate guesses, the first poster with a particular guess, owns that guess exclusively.
- No other comments in the Guesses thread please, if you need to ask a question, pop into this thread instead.
- My decision as to the winner is final, though I will be fair in this, no favouritism - I promise.
- The winner will be guesses the nearest time (either before or after) to the 25,000th WU being submitted to Berkeley.
- In the event of the 25,000th WU being submitted precisely between two guesses, the winner will be the forum member who posted their guess first.
- The prize is transferable, so you can donate it to another OcUK SETI Team member if you so wish.
- The prize is to be claimed within 1 month of the winner being announced.
- The winner can't use the prize against me in any races (this is me getting a bit paranoid now!).

Once the guesses time limit has expired, I will put my queue on auto-transmit (I'm stashing at the moment to make it a bit more interesting). I will also post a summary of all of the guesses from time to time over the next 5 days in this thread so you can see who has guessed what.
So its H'onwards and H'upwards for the good ship OcUK SETI stomper and a 25,000 WU tiffy for me.
