Tracking a few bottles of this down, a takeaway and a book sounds like a plan for tonight. If I drink it out of a wine glass I'll maintain the ladylike image I project so well :D

just drink it out of the bottle , we won't tell :D

Local Tesco's was sold out of Magners again !

Someone I know who works there has told me that the order has been incresed by 10x for next week so I will try some then.

Got some Woodpecker instead as one of my control systems that I designed makes the stuff.

Not too bad over ice, have to see how it compares with Magners next week.

just picked 3 x litre bottles up from local offy ( all they had ) , should keep me going for the afternoon :)

It's just one of those trends.. The Irish guys I know over hear are delighted. Many of them moved here last Sept and no one in Eng had heard of it. Now it's everywhere. Clearly it has filled a niche in the market- Strongbow/Woodpecker are just nasty!

I really like strongbow, it's all I drink (not literally lol, alcoholic wise). I've got to try this gear :D
Do so :)

Have you tried Strongbow Sirrus yet? I think I prefer it, though its usually more expensive for the volume you get (usually, but its only £1.20 in my WMC  ).

Strongbow is very nice :)

Nah. I haven't even heard of it. I'll have a look out for it :)

It certainly is, a lot of my mates slate it. Nothing better when you're thirsty on a hot summers day

I think its fair to say they're jumping on the bandwagon of Magners. You get a funky Sirrus glass and plenty of ice, but its just a normal beer bottle sized bottle you get :)

I drink Magners more (when I'm not in my WMC!) because you get more volume for your money, but I think I prefer the taste of Sirrus :)

I hope I can get my hands on some of this Sirrus. Very few of my locals even serve normal strongbow. Outragous

What do you think of scrumpy jack?

IMO, you can't beat a good old un-pasturised french cider lol :p

I couldn't agree more with that. My mother lives in Normandy and so I often have a few bottles of the local Cider when I'm there - tend to bring a few back too!

Beats any Cider sold in the UK hands down... although drink it quickly!

I didn't really rate the Sirrus as it felt like just an attempt to be a Magners, but it's not that bad if Magners isn't being served or it's ran out.

I love Magners, I got introduced to it last summer after I decided I liked cider, and it was such a refreshing change from Strongbow / Blackthorn that's usually served around me, but it does get rather expensive when it's >£3.

My Dutch cousins really really liked it when they came over here earlier this year. You don't really get Cider over in Holland, and they're used to drinking lots of Blackthorn, and they were really impressed with how nice it was compared to that.
