Magno-flo

This says it all really :

Are there any cases whereby after installation, no affects are seen?
This can happen. Usually where the vehicle is subject to poor maintenance as Magno-Flo requires clean air and fuel filters. Also if the unit is fitted incorrectly there will be a decrease in the effect or none at all if fitted on the wrong pipe. For this reason we recommend professional fitting. Another instance where it may appear you have no savings, is when your on board computer is used to determine the MPG. The on board computer uses air mass/fuel ratio calculations, but as Magno-Flo has a high air mass/fuel ratio this will show little or no change in MPG. Please refer to the test section for correct method of determining your MPG.

Sorry, but, what ?

Total Plop

I'll raise you with this:

Calculation errors can occur caused by local environmental conditions and/or incomplete data and changes in driving patterns.

I must admit i too was a bit unsure of how it would work but I took the leap of faith. It works a treat!!!

I have had it fitted to my vehicle for just over an hour now and the difference is fantastic along with the savings that i have made.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to save money!!!

How can you trust a device that interferes with the onboard car computers?

LOL! :D

Have you got an ebay electric turbo too?

SEEMS LEGIT :D

Your argument should be: fuel is a hydrocarbon, it is non-metallic, why would a magnet do anything to it?

Not to imply that these might actually work, but - if magnets don't affect non-metallic substances, how do MRI scanners work?

The answer of course is that a (powerful) magnet can align the electrons surrounding atoms regardless of which substance it is. How this can possibly relate to improving fuel efficiency is, however, beyond me.

An MRI provides only a very temporary change as well.

It's only temporary because the patient is only in there for a relatively short amount of time :p obviously if you don't remove the magnetic force, the effect remains!

A more salient point would be that the magnetic forces involved in modern MRI scanners is of the order of 1-3T and achieved by supercooled, superconducting electromagnets. I'd like to see a car return better fuel efficiency by powering one of those around the fuel line!

The only way a magnet will help fuel economy is if you do what I have done, get a very powerful magnet and fit it to a short pole on the front of your car, pointing backwards at the car. I find I hardly ever have to turn the engine on! In fact I had to fit more powerful brakes!

This is along the same lines as those fans that you stick on your air intake. They spin due to the airflow and supposedly increase performance because of...mumble mumble, laminar flow, mumble.

I have no idea why people buy them.

"The fan spins with the engine speed creating a maximum force that produces controlled airflow into the combustion chamber at an elevated pace. This helps to keep the engine cool so it can perform better."

I might stick a piece of insulation tape on the inside of my air intake because: "The airflow over the tape causes the Bernoulli effect, decreasing the pressure over the area of highest travelled distance. Increased airflow increases the speed and magnitude of oscillation". In other words, the tape flaps about in the breeze.

I should set up in business. I can talk rubbish too.
