I have never really got on with Apple mail and it annoys me more than it should. I don't really want to use outlook. There are a few older threads on here but I was just wondering what apps you guys were using for email on Mac?

I've used Spark for a good few years now. It does have a paid tier but I'm on free and have 3 accounts added with no issues. App on iOS is also nice. Do recommend!

Apple Mail isn't great but a lot of people put up with it because it's included, it's the same with Windows Mail.

Second Spark though as it is pretty good. Canary is worth looking at too, similarly Thunderbird which has come on a long way.

Funny that I am perfectly content using Mail at home. At work I used Spark for ages because Mail don't attach photos as an attachment but it puts it into the body of the email.

But I switched to Outlook, it's good but I am not sure I would pay for it for home.

I'm a big fan of Mutt, or Neomutt - but that probably won't be to everyone's taste for sure. But was happy with the standard Mail client for many years, I just prefer the keyboard driven way now.

I use postbox, and love it. i think it's a fork from thunderbird, it looks good and does everything I need.
I'd never heard of it, and it looks nice, but just saw they've been bought out by eM Client which just doesn't look as good.

If you love using Postbox, you can continue using it. However, Postbox will no longer be sold or developed. Rest assured that we’ll continue to provide support until December 22nd, 2024, and the Postbox Help Center will remain available until December 22nd, 2025, to help with any lingering questions.

As far as I can tell, you can still download and use postbox - buying it is simply unlocking some skins?

https://www.postbox-inc.com/download - Looking at it, the link I provide still allows you to download the postbox app as opposed to emclient.

if you drag and drop the pictures it will put them in the body, if you use the paperclip attachment, it will attach the file.

I use mail on my macbook, ipad and iphone and find it reasonable.
I rarely use email for talking with friends these days, so it's mainly just for recording purchase receipts and company newsletters etc.

BTW, why do Apple insist on calling things by generic names? It makes it a PITA to search on google for issues / hints for them.
