Slight hijack, but what do people use in Mac OS Mail for hotmail then? I remember tring the iOS exchange settings out of chance once which didn't work.

Afaik hotmail make it so that you can't use IMAP mail programs? You can setup a pop access but I hate pop.

I'm probably wrong on that assumption however.

Use gmail, add the pop3 account into it and connect to gmail via IMAP. - sorted :) - you can add upto 5 accounts ( with the free version )

Another slight thread hi-jack but I don't think it warrants a new thread. I am using iCloud for my email at the moment. We I get an e-mail I get a notification on my iPhone and also on my MBP. If I read the e-mail on my MBP the notification stays on my phone until I open the mail app. Is there a way for it push the read notification to my phone so i don't have to open the app? It is the same with the facebook app as well. Thanks

The Facebook app is just slow, so not a lot you can do with that.

Again you need to use IMAP not pop3 to solve the issue of reads/deletes not happening on box devices.
