The x1950pro is a better video card, It has shader model 3.0. I would buy the x1950 over the x850, try and sell your x850, and get a x1950pro. A better idea, wait for the x1950xt .
Nvidia is also coming out with some high end agp video cards.

Hey MrR, nice to see you here and how's that Sapphire X1950 Pro working out for you? The people on this board are great by they way. You're gonna like it here.

Just a word of advice though. Lay off Guruboy. I know it's hard because he's an expert on getting threads closed. This is pretty good thread we have going so I would suggest you ignore him like we did on Guru3D an he'll go away.

Now, back on topic. Good decision M1cro. As I said before make sure you get a revision 2 card just to save yourself a lot of grief and aggravation. I see Overclockers is out of stock at the moment. Hopefully the next shipment that comes in consists of Rev.2 cards. Good Luck to you.

yes guys, your right.. I'm just asking out of curiosity.. I'm no expert in clocking.I Already have an RMA and do plan to send it back. As you say ChemHazMat it would be foolish to lose out. I'll take your advice and hope that OC's find it faulty.

This "Guruboy" sounds like a living legend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know some of you are bitter cause of some bad luck, You should welcome all the help you can get. I know not all posts are usefull to you, but they may help others! If you don't like what you read than just skip-it. Someday you may look back and see the light.
