yea, a lot probably. I havent even tweaked the ram yet. Just set the 2-2-2-5 int he bios. Once i fiddle with all the other settings the time should come down a bit more.

It's just lower latency.

This result was with DRAM Idle Timer at 256:

Best setting for BH5/6, UTT etc is 0.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread with my improved time.

This one is from a 4000+ San Diego @ 3.24 with RAM 2-3-2-5 (1T) @ 249 MHz (lovely TCCD

).

Tantalisingly close to top ten but couldn't quite get there (I did get 26.469 but I had to switch everything off, including explorer so I couldn't get a screenie

).

here's mine with a 4000+ ...slower time because of 2gb ballistix but not too shabby

Thought i'd trow an apple machine into the mix.

A Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66Ghz clocks in at 36 seconds.

I'm guessing it only uses 1 core though as the CPU load never drifts far over 50%
