Thx Its_me :) admittedly its a pretty cool night tonight so my temps are about 4c or so cooler than normally hehe...

The cooler I'm using Xez is the much hated Thermaltake Tower 112 so 3 bags of sugar on your CPU lol, it has 2 Smart case 2 fans to cool it.

When Priming my PC it does sound like a tank stuck in a ditch but gaming i can turn all my fans down to a medium setting or lower depending on the ambient temps and my CPU gets between 50 and 55c full load.

How much does Ram affect these SuperPi times? I ran a 1M test on my new A64 X2 4200 at got 42 secs!! Which is like, forever! BUT, I did only have 1 stick of a 2x 512Mb set installed cos the other was fried! Does the loss of dual bandwidth slow it down that much?

Yeah, dual channel RAM does help a bit in super pi as there is more memory bandwidth, iirc I tested a 3500 @ 3.05GHz with one stick of RAM and it got 30 seconds 1mb and again with dual channel and it got 28.6 seconds.

Old score, could probably do a bit better, but the cpu isn't very oc friendly... Btw, really bad mem sticks as well :(

i dno how the.. your voltages are so low the last two posts. i have to have 1.515 volts to get it to even boot up to xp at 2.6ghz lol

If you're talking about the old athlon xp cpus(socket A), stock Vcore is 1.65V... Btw, I used about 1.7V in last screenie :D
