Major update for Dashboard and games “out soon”; webcam on the way (360)

Hi all

Dont think this has been posted as far as i coulld see..

An inside source at Microsoft informed XBOXIC.com that Microsoft is currently finishing off one huge update for the Xbox 360 that is going to put an end to all the known problems in both games and the system itself. It will contain fixes for all currently known lockups in games, missing or impossible to get achievements and a bunch of new functionality in the Dashboard.

Great but if you arent on live then how will you get it, surely they will have it on disk aswell for a postage fee

Microsoft have already stated that they will send discs for those who don't have Live.

I don't want to see some fat hairy bloater in his boxershorts when playing PGR3.

Although it is a tactic i might use to win races muahaha.

Wouldn't quieter DVD = slower DVD? unless the service pack despatches a team of nanobots with screwdrivers to make some hardware changes?

I know i'm over-critical of things but imo parts of the dashboard really need tidying up. The guide blade for example, at the moment it looks a bit windows 3.xx.

Its good that its an open ended design though so it can be refreshed as an when its needed.
