A number of leading media websites are currently not working, including the Guardian, Financial Times, Independent and the New York Times.

The UK government website - gov.uk - is also down.

Affected websites displayed the message: "Error 503 Service Unavailable".

Early reports have suggested it could be related to Fastly, a cloud computing provider, which underpins a lot of major websites.

Looks like reddit is one of those affected too

Amazon as well I was trying to check up on an order and none of the images were showing just the 503 and broken images.

Thought it was AWS but it's Fastly, a CDN. Completely taken out twitch, gonna be lots of unhappy streamers losing out.

Makes it extremely difficult to procrastinate now.

Seems Amazon were the only ones with a working disaster recovery plan.

StackOverflow, Twitch, Twitter, most of the top 25 sites are all still dead, Jim.

.gov.uk seems to be working, well as good as usual anyway

Just ordering a new company taco card and it wouldn't recognise the card number. Had to call them and the answer was "There can be a problem with recognising the card number, just miss out the last 3 numbers on the card and it should work"

and it did  I guess it's too difficult to fix the issue so it actually recognises the number or put a bit of text on the page to say leave off the last 3 digits...
