I'll presume you haven't got a clue what constructive criticism is and hope you can afford to lose a notable percentage of your customer base.Ill presume you haven't got a clue what Zeta potential is and hope you can afford to replace your pump.![]()
Actually, it is your problem, in a way...Sorry but if you think its offensive then lets be honest that's your problem not ours
Wow, this thread is certainly putting me off using Mayhems fluid in the build I'm currently putting together, which is a shame really as I quite like the look of some of the fluids. Oh well, customer service etc will always be more important, and doesn't look like dealing with customers in a decent fashion is a top priority for Mayhems!
People *will* do exactly that, though... human nature and part of the job in being a rep. How you act does reflect on your company. I hate going out in my work kit and especially driving a liveried work van, partly because I'm still a crap inexperienced driver and partly because most of our customers hate us anyway (utilities company, sorry!).Everyone can make their own opinion and you can't really take what one person said against the whole company.
I'm a little confused that people are surprised a product developer isn't telling you how to manufacture his product for a fraction of the price.
He would be out of business within months if he divulged his knowledge and research here. Surely you understand that?

There are a number of issues here. The first and most glaringly obvious problem is DIYing fluids from a YouTube video and putting £100s of hardware at risk in your loop.
The point is Mayhems is a company whose sole purpose is to research and develop coolants. At least when you use their product you know it's got some kind of backing and work in it. If you use Aurora fluid and it catastrophically screws my system up youn will have some claim from them.
If you screw your own loop up using some product you threw in, well - That's your risk to take.
Sure, Aurora fluids could just be exactly the same as the supposed DIY method. But is that a risk you are willing to take?
How naive.
If aurora goes wrong and clumps or otherwise screws your system, the only claim you'll be able to make is to Mayhems middle finger as they'll soon be quick to point out for short term use only or in extremely simple loops etc etc.
Mayhems clearly point out the use cases for Aurora. They also test it to a certain degree on certain hardware. You know what you are getting.
What do you know about throwing some off the shelf additive to coolant in a DIY scenario...absolutely nothing.
