I guess that's the problem starting on the hard tyre.
Hamilton is currently going backwards compared to all the other drivers that were in front and behind him before their stops.

Now at 50% race distance. 8 laps to go until the softs are really a viable option.

typical for mclaren, the one time they want rain were it always rains at 5pm and it wont rain.

it'll play out the other way when he goes onto fresh tyres, it'll just be where he feeds back in

He was osn the optimum tyre while everyone else was on the going off softs. Now it's reversed - but he'll have new tyres at 2/3rds distance roughly.

Exactly - it's no good having good tyres if you're stuck behind a train of drivers. Although he has proved he can pass cars, unlike Massa

Ferrari need to take a look at how they ruined Alonsos race at the start. They need to see alonso was far far faster yet again than massa. They held him there behind massa for far too long.

i think the softs are working

hamilton half a second faster on first sector alone.

and anothe rhalf on the 2nd sector.

4 seconds clear of button in 2 laps

Does anyone else feel Lewis should be further up after all his hard work? Who has Button passed to be just behind him? Button seems to have a lot of luck.
