Looks like FOM / Bernie et al are really pulling some strings in the media now...

Interesting quote here though:

"Whitmarsh, who oversaw Hamilton through the team's young driver programme, admitted: 'Lewis was an experiment. We said nobody was ever going to turn up as a rookie better prepared - physically and in terms of technical knowledge. Whether psychologically you can prepare, I don't know.

'He was managed through karting and then in junior formula and into Formula One. In 2007 we found a flat for him just a couple of miles away from the factory. He came to work at nine in the morning. He had a programme. It was all the right stuff.

'But the one thing missing in all that is that you don't necessarily equip someone to make life decisions. I don't know how you do it differently because you are spending millions of pounds trying to get someone to the top.

'With Oliver Rowland, one of the kids who's now with us, we have taken him out of the top karting team and put him into another team, so he can experience a bit of adversity. We didn't do that with Lewis - he had all the best equipment right through. I think what we have learned is to give them a taste of disappointment.

'When things finally went wrong for Lewis last year, it was tough for him. There was a chink in the armour.' "
 
Cant argue with that, Lewis is a machine much the same as MS was/is. He was picked by people who knew what they were looking for [RD/MW] and groomed for sucess. The media are making a lot of the loss of his dad as manager contributing to tarnishing his image. I think it is more to do with the loss of Ron Dennis as a guiding hand. In many ways Vettel is the same. He has the raw talent but, lacks the media skills.

Looks like MSC will finish high up in this one, but maybe some of the cars in practice were going slower than they actually are.

Going to take a weirder angle in my prediction this week for qualifying:

Webber > MSC > Vettel? :p (No idea about the Ferrari's)
