In terms of fuel, I wonder how much each driver or his engineer inputs vs an overall team decision.

In which case, you can see why Rosberg would be upset if he and his engineer made the better decision than Hamilton and he's been made to stay behind.

You think Lewis will be happy to let him through? Lewis is driving to a time. I am sure if they said they are going to let Rosberg past he would then go a lot faster.

This would then comprimise both their races.

So punish Nico for Lewis having not enough fuel and tyres?

I bet if this was Ferrari telling Massa not to pass Alonso it would be viewed differently lol

If I was Nico I'd just take him. He's got nothing to lose. The team aren't going to drop him, or handicap him the future.

You have to be ruthless to get anywhere.

If Lewis uses more fuel than Nico that's his problem, but really Nico should have done more earlier. So it's mostly his own fault.

but Hamilton has been going purposefully slower to save fuel
