I noticed live that there was a big chunk of front wing just off the racing line a few corners on from where Alonso and Kvyat collided. I assume if came off Kvyat's car. Given the conditions, I guess they didn't want the added complication of sending marshalls out to retrieve it. I was a bit surprised that that was the only issue though.

I don't think it had much to do with power in this instance to be honest. Given they'd still be getting wheelspin in 4th and 5th gears, I think it was more to do with how Hamilton took a straighter exit, letting him get on the power earlier.
