Malaysian Grand Prix 2014, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

Vettel's only chance of second is to burn some fuel get ahead then drop pace while praying he can defend against Merc. but with Merc's straight line speed I really don't think Vettel can defend while saving fuel.

Of course, that assumes they need to save fuel. He might at this pace be fine getting to the end of the race, but you would still expect the Merc's to be then able to turn up their pace.

I just can't see Rosberg not being able to get him back under DRS with engine turned up should Vettel pass him.

Maybe not.

With the importance of demonstrating fuel saving we'll stop getting them now for a ladybird flying near the track? :)

Beeps to tell them when to lift off?? Jesus, thought these guys are meant to be the best in the world, just let them drive the bloody things

Why, you'll never get a car manage to get that tight at any kind of normal race pace. Almost no chance of hitting that car.

Yeah, and how many times have you seen them use double waved yellows sensibly in the last 5 years? Someone so much as sneezes on the track and they get the SC out.

Why is it that one car out of 22 has all these problems with a standard fuel sensor?

It's not, there were multiple problems at the last race, but those with problems did what the FIA told them to, RBR didn't. Supposedly one car finished the race without their fuel sensor working at all last race and several more had problems afaik but applied the offsets FIA told them.
